The Louis Vuitton Foundation will open Monday, October 27, 2014.
Its building, designed by architect Frank Gehry, is in Paris a new venue for contemporary art and French international.
The Louis Vuitton Foundation unfolds in a building designed at the initiative of Bernard Arnault, by American architect Frank Gehry. Real glass cloud, the Foundation into the site of the Garden of Acclimation in Paris, north of the Bois de Boulogne.
To support and promote contemporary art with Parisians and international audiences the Louis Vuitton Foundation for ambition. It listed his collection and program in line with historical art movements and the creation of twentieth etXXIe centuries.
The building of the Louis Vuitton Foundation includes exhibition galleries dedicated to permanent collections, temporary exhibitions and art commissions. It comes complete with an adjustable Auditorium to house multidisciplinary events. Building terraces offer points of view unpublished Paris and the wooded area of the Garden of Acclimatization including Frank Gehry was inspired to create an architecture of glass and transparency.
As part of his artistic opening program will be announced in the autumn, the Louis Vuitton Foundation will present an exhibition on the architectural design of Frank Gehry for the Foundation. The exhibition will interact with the first European retrospective at the Centre Pompidou devoted to the work of Frank Gehry from October 2014.
The Louis Vuitton Foundation is a corporate foundation, a private cultural initiative, dedicated to art and artists. It is a new stage of patronage for art and culture hired by LVMH in France and around the world for over twenty years.
